The Psychology of the Unconscious

Thursday, August 20, 2020
7:00 PM to 9:00 PM GMT+1

What happens in our mind underneath the surface? What’s behind the infamous “Freudian Slip”? Is that dream you had last night trying to tell you something? Scared of something really irrational? How do politicians and marketeers sway voters and consumers in their favour?

There are many reasons why it may be beneficial to understand what the unconscious is and how it works. Ever since Sigmund Freud made the world of psychology aware that the unconscious matters, we are able to see it at work across all levels of society, business, politics and everyday living. Tonight we present 3 perspectives on how the unconscious matters and how it shows up in our lives. This will be followed by a discussion among the panel and open to comments from and debate among the rest of the pub.
