PERSONAL CONSULTANCY

Thank you for booking a personal consultancy session.

You will receive an email to arrange a suitable time for the session. We strongly advise you to read through this beforehand.

Confidentiality

We will provide the highest level of confidentiality possible according to the law and the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) Code of Ethics. In an unlikely case that a disclosure is needed, we will aim to discuss it with you before taking any action.

The duration and frequency of the sessions, and ending

Each session normally lasts 50 minutes (although this can be negotiated) and will always start on time. If you are late to your session, we will not be able to extend it beyond the intended end time (the main reason for this is securing the timely start of the following session). We will normally have one session a week (unless you only require one session); this may later change into less frequent sessions if we both conclude that it would be appropriate. No consultancy will be conducted between sessions in any form. Contact between sessions (via text or emails) is reserved for cancelling / re-arranging a session or for arranging an emergency session if needed.

Cancelations

If you cancel on the day of the session or don’t turn up, you will be required to pay the full fee for that session no matter what the reason for cancelation is. If you cancel after the last session or within a week, you will be required to pay half of the fee for that session. If you give us a notice a week or more in advance you will not need to pay for the missing session. A similar structure applies to us: if we have to cancel a session on the same day, your next session will be free of charge. If I cancel within a week, your next session will be charged half of your usual fee. If I give you a week or more notice, we will continue with our usual arrangements after the missing session(s). Cancelling or re-arranging a session must be done in writing (by text message or email).
